About the event
On the 8th day of the 4th month of Lunar calendar, it is known to be the day of when THE Buddha was born, Siddhartha Guatama. It is often celebrated as the Flower Festival. This year we will be celebrating this special day this Sunday April 13th. Reverend Rosalie will be our guest for our Hanamatsuri Service.
We will have the honor to pour sweet tea, or also known as ama-cha, over the statue of Buddha as a resemblance of his first bath, which was believed to be sweet rain. Come join our service to learn more about this special day.
