Ohigan, a moment of observance of the "other shore" which is recognized twice a year....in the Spring Equinox and the Fall Equinox. It is also a moment to honor our ancestors and their teachings.

Our temple belongs to the Jodo Shinshu sect of Buddhism, a form of Pure Land Buddhism from Japan. Join us for a brief session to learn more about the founder, Shinran Shonin, the Seven Masters of the tradition, the story of the Larger Sutra and Amida Buddha.
